From spa owner to bookkeeper.
I spent years building and running a spa from the ground up. I hired staff, managed payroll, tracked inventory, dealt with slow seasons and booming months. And yes, I did my own books while doing all of it.
I learned the hard way what happens when your finances aren’t in order - the stress of not knowing if you’re actually profitable, the tax season panic, the feeling of being busy all the time but not seeing it in your bank account.
When I sold my business, I realized how much I’d learned that most beauty business owners never get the chance to figure out. I decided to do something with that knowledge.
Marigold Books exists because beauty business owners deserve a bookkeeper who actually gets it. Someone who doesn’t need you to explain what a booth renter is, who knows why your payroll is your biggest expense, and who can look at your numbers and immediately see where you’re bleeding money.

I’m American, based in Ireland, and I work remotely with beauty businesses across the US. I love what I do because I know firsthand how much it matters to have someone in your corner who actually understands your business.
When I’m not in the numbers, you’ll find me exploring Ireland, hoping over to Europe with my family, and creating content online about what it’s like living abroad as an American.
